Artist Statement: The most rudimentary understanding of a photograph is that it has documented a moment in time; a memory. It is the indexical nature of the photograph that allows for mental connections and associations of memory to be made. We use the indexical nature of photographs not only to represent past presence in space and time but to act as triggers for memory.
