Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Giclee?

Giclee (pronounced jee-clay) is the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. The word is derived from the French language meaning to squirt, spurt or spray. Giclee as a fine art term is associated with prints using fade resistant archival inks, archival substrates and the inkjet printers that use them.

How can I have my photo printed on canvas?

Bring the photo you want to print on canvas on a CD, flashdrive or memory card. JPEG files are preferable but we can also process other files (PSD, TIF, RAW). Bring your actual photo to be scanned (additional charges will apply). You can also e-mail us the image as an attachment. If the file is larger than 20MB use the file uploader on our website. Make sure the file is large enough for printing.

How large can I make my photo?

It depends on the size of the digital file. We recommend shooting the photo at the highest resolution if you intend to enlarge it.

I have an old family photo that is damaged, can you restore it?

We do photo restoration and manipulation to bring back your precious memories.

Can I put my wedding photo on canvas?

If it was taken by a professional photographer we will need a release before we can print it.

What is a gallery wrap?

The canvas is stretched on stretcher bars with the staples on the back. You have the choice of a color wrap, a mirror wrap or a full wrap. We offer widths from 7/8 to 2. The gallery wrap enables you to hang the canvas without a frame.
